On November 12, 2009, urban planners Elsa Fancello and Andrea Winkler presented at the first-ever Online World Town Planning Day Conference on climate change. The presentation was based on their experience working with the recent Provincial climate change policies and legislation, as well as mitigation tools to assist local governments, as part of part of Urban Strategies ongoing work to create a Regional Growth Strategy for the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island.
