The goal is to meet TCHC’s objective for ‘Building a Great Neighbourhood’ – a safe, integrated and environmentally sustainable community with high quality urban design forms throughout. We have been working with the community on a plan to improve housing and green space and to find ways to create more recreational and economic opportunities in Alexandra Park. Meaningful consultation is a key element of the process, not only with agencies both inside and outside of the community, but also with residents. The article entitled Alexandra Park Revamp from the January 7th, 2011 City of Toronto edition of Novae Res Urbis touches on some of the goals and needs of the local community.
