Our project for the National Capital Commission was awarded the Award for Planning Excellence /Prix d’excellence en urbanisme in the category of Downtown Planning / Planification d’un centre-ville by the Canadian Institute of Planners. Building on a century of Capital planning and vision, the Canada’s Capital Core Area Sector Plan is a comprehensive land use planning document, targeting myriad policy areas, strategies and initiatives. The Plan features the celebration, connection and consolidation of key elements of the Capital’s Core Area and a synergy between natural landscape and built urban fabric as well as the relationship between the Capital and the Civic Realms.
