The Tall Buildings Downtown Project came out of an ambitious and collaborative effort between, Urban Strategies Inc. and Hariri Pontarini Architects, in consultation with City Planning staff. This vision sets out performance standards that identify where downtown street tall buildings should be located, their built form typologies as well as the height ranges that these tall buildings should adhere to.
The goal: To enhance the pedestrian environment; minimize shadowing of sidewalks, parks and public squares; protect landmark views and heritage resources and improve the quality of life for people living and working in the core.
