Urban Strategies® developed an innovative master plan for the historic Springfield University Hospital, one of the largest mental health institutions in England, on 80 acres. Based on a community-driven vision, the development framework introduces new uses and strong connections between Springfield and the community. When redeveloped, the site will contain modernised health care facilities within a new residential and mixed use community, with restored historic buildings, extensive open spaces and commercial amenities, all framed by a new system of roads and pathways.
