Jamil is a planner and an engineer with extensive experience working in Canada, the United States and internationally. Prior to joining Urban Strategies®, Jamil worked on international planning projects in Jamaica, Ethiopia and the Philippines. Jamil is currently completing the planning approvals for a complex land development in the motel strip in the former municipality of Etobicoke, as well as assisting the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake to develop a secondary plan for its historic waterfront. In 2009, Jamil was awarded a DiverseCity Fellowship by the Toronto City Summit Alliance and Maytree Foundation in recognition of his contributions as a rising civic leader.
