In June 1996 a bomb exploded in Manchester, devastating the heart of the city and destroying more than 1.5 million square feet of prime retail and office space. As Master Planning Advisors, we initially managed an international design competition for the reconstruction plan. Our other work included assisting in presentations to senior politicians for funding requests and chairing the design juries that evaluated each of the redevelopment projects. The now rebuilt centre has helped transform the national and global image of Manchester.
