Steeped in history, West Harbour contains stable neighbourhoods, remnant industrial and brownfield sites, and a recreation-oriented waterfront. We prepared a comprehensive land use plan for the area, following the integrated master plan process under Ontario’s Environmental Assessment Act. The adopted plan calls for a balance of residential, commercial, cultural and boating uses on the waterfront, linked by a continuous open space system. Residential redevelopment and new streets will integrate brownfield sites into existing neighbourhoods.
