Georgia is an Urban Planner with experience in the public, private and non-profit sectors. Her professional background encompasses community development, social research and assessing the impacts of transportation planning. Georgia’s work has included provincial and municipal policy analysis, statistical research and the management of complex projects. She has experience in designing and facilitating public engagement meetings, and collaborating with municipal leaders and community stakeholders on multidisciplinary projects. Her previous work in Durham included calculating the Living Wage for the Region, in collaboration with the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives and numerous community stakeholders across the province. She held a We Are Cities roundtable in a GTA suburb, was a Planning Assistant at Jane’s Walk, and established a mentorship program for Ryerson’s Urban Planning graduate students. At Urban Strategies, Georgia is involved in several large-scale commercial development approvals projects.
