Haya is an urban planner with a multidisciplinary background in transit planning, policy, geographic information systems (GIS) and community organizing. Her academic and professional interests in planning focus on transit-oriented development in suburban contexts and community engagement.
At Urban Strategies, Haya works on a range of private and public sector projects related to site development, master planning, and transit. Prior to joining Urban Strategies, Haya gained public sector experience in various roles - having the opportunity to work on projects ranging from the coordinated review of Ontario’s Provincial Plans to the implementation of innovative mobility options in the City of Toronto. Most recently, she was a technical advisor to Metrolinx on the GO Regional Express Rail Electrification project.
