Nicholas Li


Nicholas is an urban designer from the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Singapore, who is on overseas professional attachment at Urban Strategies Inc. At Urban Strategies, Nicholas is working on a variety of master plan and urban design studies for cities such as Astana, Ningbo, Calgary and Toronto. Before joining Urban Strategies, Nicholas spent 6 years at the URA, a statutory board overseeing Singapore’s urban and physical development. He was the planner in charge of Orchard Road – Singapore’s main shopping belt, urban designer of Woodlands Regional Centre – a 100ha township on the northern border of Singapore, and the project head for Car-Free Sundays – a regular road closure program for the central business district of Singapore. Nicholas has been awarded the Public Service 21 Excel Innovation Award (Silver) for his contributions to public service in Singapore.
