Sunjay is an Urban Planner with diverse work experiences across the public and private sectors in project-based, collaborative environments.
Sunjay’s professional planning experience includes stakeholder engagement and drafting regulations for a Zoning Bylaw Review, leading strategic master planning processes for parks, recreation and cultural development, and researching placemaking practices in suburban ethnic retail neighbourhoods. His research also includes developing land-use and policy recommendations for the Rexdale Employment Area, evaluating legacy impacts of the Toronto Pan Am and Parapan Am Games and assessing collaborative planning approaches to wind turbine development. In addition to his planning background, Sunjay has a Bachelor of Journalism and has extensive experience as a communications professional, working as a writer and editor for various industries.
