Overview of Projects in BC’s Lower Mainland
October 1, 2021
We are privileged to be involved in many key project assignments in the Lower Mainland.
Ongoing work includes working closely with the Musqueam Indian Band, Squamish Nation, and Tsleil-Waututh Nation (the “MST Partnership”) and CLC to lead analysis of the ?yalmexw / Iyálmexw Jericho site, which will form the basis of the City of Vancouver’s Lands Policy Statement for the site.
We are currently leading a large-scale master plan for BC Housing’s affordable housing neighbourhood at Kingsway and Edmonds into a reinvigorated mixed-income community. The plan aims to achieve the maximum development potential for the site as a mixed-tenure, high-density development that sets the standard for sustainability and collaborative placemaking in Burnaby. Also in Burnaby, we are developing a master plan for Peterson Group and Create Properties for the 19-acre former Saputo Dairyland plant, adjacent to the Millennium Line’s Sperling-Burnaby Lake Station.
We recently completed a highly collaborative Campus Master Plan for Simon Fraser University, which involved a high degree of stakeholder and public engagement, as the University develops plans for the next 20 years. In 2019, we led a complex master plan for the Surrey Centre Block precinct, which articulates an integrated approach to the expected 2 Million sq. ft. of development that Centre Block will realize.
We recently were retained as part of a team to lead the community engagement for the Vancouver Sports Field Strategy.
We were part of the team for UBC’s Stadium Neighbourhood Plan and recently completed a transit study for the university.
