Urban Strategies is excited to announce seven new staff promotions, recognizing excellence, dedication and professional leadership.

Emory Davidge, IAP2, DICE, Senior Associate: As Urban Strategies’ newly appointed Engagement Practice Lead, Emory is an award-winning Planner whose work focuses on the intersection of equity, engagement and policy in the planning process. Emory’s practice includes complex projects across the country and industry leadership.

Yasmin Afshar, DICE, Associate: Yasmin is a skilled Planner who applies her uniquely collaborative, creative, and perceptive nature to her projects. She manages complex studies and master plans at various scales, including a framework plan for equitable reinvestment and neighbourhood stabilization in East Detroit.

Stephen Brophy, Associate: Stephen is a meticulous Urban Designer with a broad range of master planning experience, including several secondary plans in Clarington, Ontario, and the 90-acre Jericho Lands and the Campus Plan for Simon Fraser University, both in the Vancouver area.

Stuart Dow, Associate: Stuart is an accomplished Planner and project manager based in our Hamilton Collaborative Studio, who has helped lead development approvals and master planning processes for high profile, large-scale transit oriented developments, including CIBC Square and East Harbour in Toronto.

Matthew Kelling, RPP, MCIP, Associate: Matthew is a talented Planner with significant experience in managing complex projects such as Union Park, Transit-Oriented Affordable Housing Solutions Lab, and the Eglinton East LRT Planning Study. He co-leads Urban Strategies’ Professional Development committee.

Georgia Luyt, RPP, MCIP, Associate: Georgia is a collaborative and dedicated Planner who expertly steers complex projects in the Greater Toronto area, including the Reimagine Galleria mixed use redevelopment and the Sheridan Campus Master Plan while also co-managing the firm’s Professional Development programming.

Andrew Toth, AICP, Associate: Andy is an experienced Urban Designer and Planner who provides urban design and planning interdisciplinary analysis for development approvals on a number of high-profile downtown redevelopments in the Toronto region, key policy documents in London, and transformative master plans in Ottawa and BC.
