We are delighted to have won three Awards for Excellence in Planning from the Canadian Institute of Planners!
Winner: City and Regional Planning Award of Excellence — Waterloo Region Central Transit Corridor
The Region of Waterloo is investing in a new rapid transit line connecting Cambridge, Kitchener, and Waterloo – a $818 million infrastructure investment. Our Community Building Strategy identifies key directions for building communities, guiding development, and moving people within, to, and from this Corridor. more info
Winner: Neighbourhood Planning Award of Excellence — Alexandra Park Revitalization Plan
Together with Toronto Community Housing Corporation, our team worked with the community on a plan to improve housing and green space and found ways to create more recreational and economic opportunities, as well as create a more environmentally sustainable neighbourhood. more info
Winner: Sustainable Mobility Transportation and Infrastructure Award of Merit — Complete Streets for Niagara
Urban Strategies developed a toolkit for the Niagara Complete Streets Project that helps municipalities within the Niagara Region work with the public to create a vision and prioritize key elements for the implementation of local complete streets. more info
