Barton is an urban planner who advises on a wide range of planning services that include development application approvals, large site master plans, highest and best use analysis, and feasibility studies.  His work requires close coordination and cooperation with clients as well as multi-disciplinary teams of design and technical experts to deliver well-refined development proposals in an efficient and comprehensive manner. Barton’s experience includes development approvals and large-scale planning and engineering studies in Hong Kong, as well as major developments in the Greater Toronto Area. Notable recent work includes successfully obtaining the official plan amendment and rezoning approval for Oxford Properties’ Union Park at 315-325 Front Street West, which will deliver hundreds of new residential units and office and retail space in Downtown Toronto, the redevelopment of Cloverdale Mall for QuadReal, a purpose-built rental residential tower at Brookfield Place, and purpose-built rental residential infill developments for Starlight in Mississauga.
