Urban Planner

Brooke is an Urban Planner and Researcher with experience working on diverse issues in land use planning, policy analysis and urban design. She holds a Master of Science in Planning which builds upon her background in quantitative and spatial research methods, acquired through a certificate in Applied Digital Geography and GIS at Toronto Metropolitan University.

Brooke has prior work experience in both the public and non-profit sector. Her previous work experience as a Community Planner at Halton Region exposed her to projects throughout the Region involving a variety of planning applications in Oakville and Burlington. Her experience at 8 80 Cities expanded her knowledge on research areas including aging in place, school streets initiatives and activating public space. At Urban Strategies, Brooke is supporting large scale development projects which contribute to providing various housing options, creating mixed-use environments, and producing vibrant communities. She is passionate about campus master planning and is currently working on Urban Design Guidelines for the University of Toronto. Brooke is interested in all aspects of planning and urban development and approaches every project with enthusiasm.
