Matthew is an urban planner with a diverse range of public and private sector project experience. At Urban Strategies, he manages a variety of projects involving master planning, transit expansion studies, and policy writing and analysis, with particular expertise in complex development projects in the Greater Toronto Area. Throughout his work, Matthew focuses on building relationships with clients, technical consultants, approvals authorities, and stakeholders, with a goal of realizing the full potential of land assets in order to benefit both landowners and the broader community. Recent project work includes: development approvals for Union Park, a 334,000 m² mixed-use development and park on a rail corridor overbuild; a CMHC-funded Solutions Lab focuses on transit-oriented affordable housing; and the Eglinton East LRT Planning Study, developing strategies to leverage future transit investment for economic and social development along the corridor.
