100 Yorkville Avenue
2002
Toronto, Ontario
100 Yorkville is a mixed-use project developed by Barclay-Grayson in Toronto’s upscale Yorkville shopping area. The site previously comprised a series of privately owned surface parking lots on the historic site of Mount Sinai Hospital. This condomiun project will reinvigorate the core of Yorkville Avenue, reconnecting the retail along the north side by creating a continuous frontage of exclusive stores. The project includes two towers – one with an 18 storey view terminus to Bellair Street, and an 8 storey lower tower in the centre of the block beyond the Mount Sinai historic façade. There will also be a number of townhouses along Scollard Street and a municipal public parking facility underground.
Urban Strategies was retained by the developer to provide the planning approvals for the project and successfully overcame local opposition at a major Ontario Municipal Board hearing.
