19 Duncan Street
2014 - Present
Toronto, Ontario
Urban Strategies is currently working with Westbank Properties to provide planning services in support of an application for the redevelopment of 19 Duncan Street. As part of a broader consultant team, Urban Strategies conducted a planning review and massing study during the conceptualization phase of design, and is currently preparing a Planning Rationale and Community Services & Facilities Study in support of a rezoning and site plan application.
Located at the intersection of Duncan and Adelaide in Toronto’s rapidly changing entertainment district, the current mixed-use redevelopment concept (designed by Hariri Pontarini architects) honours the site’s history through the retention of the site’s existing historical warehouse building, while also optimizing the site’s central location through the addition of a high-rise rental tower with rehabilitated and new-build office, retail and amenity uses on the lower levels.
