Pinnacle on Adelaide

2008 - 2009, 2011 - 2012

Toronto, Ontario

Urban Strategies was retained by Pinnacle International in 2008 to secure the planning and development approvals for the mixed use redevelopment of 295 Adelaide West and 100-104 John Street. City Council approved the zoning by-law amendment in 2010, permitting the development of a 43-storey building with retail and restaurant uses at-grade. The proposal included the relocation and restoration of a designated heritage building.

In 2011, Urban Strategies was retained again by Pinnacle International to secure approvals for the second phase of its development on the east side of John Street at 283 Adelaide Street West. The proposal is currently undergoing the rezoning approval process. The two buildings are both designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects, and intended to be complementary towers with two interrelated public plazas, contributing to the transformation of John Street as the City’s major cultural corridor.
