We strive to build up each other and the profession.  We make space for everyone at the firm to grow, lead, teach and have an impact. At Urban Strategies, management and staff believe that success happens where new ideas can flourish – in an environment that values diversity, a place where people from various backgrounds and experiences can work productively together. Our studios are designed for maximum interaction, across all disciplines and levels of seniority. We cultivate an integrated, collegial workplace, with numerous staff committees, social events, and professional development programs. These opportunities to celebrate, learn and have fun together are essential to our philosophy as an organization. We share what we learn and expand opportunities for people to participate in planning and design.

Internship Opportunity

Urban Strategies has a proud history of welcoming students to join us for urban design and planning internships. We believe that professional placements are an important complement to formal education. Urban Strategies interns can expect hands‑on learning opportunities from day one, and will participate in everything from proposal development to conceptual design. We integrate students into project teams to expose them to all facets of an assignment and prepare them for the real world of city planning and urban design. Students tell us that they gain valuable experience and form lasting friendships. Many of our interns return for repeat terms with us and even for full time positions after graduation.
