Architectural Design Technician
We are currently looking for an Architectural Design Technician to join our team. The position of Architectural Design Technician requires an educational background in architectural technology/drafting/digital modeling. Architectural Design Technicians are responsible for working with urban designers, architects, landscape architects and planners to develop and convey elements of the built environment at a variety of scales in urban and rural environments. The position requires proficiency in communication techniques including a solid knowledge of contemporary CAD and graphic software including Photoshop, InDesign, Archicad or similar BIM software, PowerPoint and other drafting, graphic design and layout software. An introduction to and training on software used by the firm will be part of the introduction to the firm for permanent and contract employees.
Senior Urban Designer
Urban Strategies is seeking dynamic individuals to join our firm as Senior Urban Designers, responsible for the direction, design and problem solving associated with urban design projects and studies at a variety of scales in urban and rural environments. Collaborating closely with the firm’s Partners and Principals, successful candidates will take a leading role in the design and management of projects as well as the management and training of staff. It is expected that they will eventually liaise directly with clients and be involved in project acquisition supporting the goal of maintaining and growing our already highly successful business. The position of Senior Urban Designer requires a professional accredited Master’s degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and/or Urban Design and Professional registration with either the OAA or OALA, or equivalent transferable professional registration. Applicants should have a minimum of five years’ experience.
The position of Planner requires a Masters degree in Planning. Registration with the OPPI and CIP are not necessary but encouraged. To apply, please send a cover letter and resume to the link below.
