Ajeev Bhatia is an Urban Planner whose work experience has focused on improving the social and economic conditions in marginalized communities across Ontario. Ajeev brings over a decade of experience from the non-profit and philanthropic sectors. He has worked as a consultant with some of the nation’s largest public and private developers to build strategies that support the execution of community benefits in Toronto’s neighbourhood improvement areas. In his former roles, he has worked with Tridel Builders Inc. in the Regent Park neighbourhood of Toronto to design a community engagement strategy to inform the rollout of $26.8 million in community benefits. He has also worked with Northcrest Developments and Canada Lands Company to develop a Community Context Study to strategically align the priorities of the community, City and landowners in support of a 500-acre mixed-use development. At Urban Strategies, Ajeev is working on the visioning and planning process of the Bathurst Bridgman Block and the re-zoning of 209 Mavety Street, a former police station being repurposed for community health use.
