
Michel Trocmé
Michel Trocmé, is widely recognized as a leader in the Urban Design field, creating distinctive, high-quality environments which foster a strong sense of community. Collaboratively integrating market, transportation, landscape, planning and architectural considerations, he develops visionary yet practical and implementable solutions which create sustained value for his clients.
Over thirty-five years, Michel’s strategic and intergrated approach have delivered a remarkable and diverse track record of built projects across Canada, the US, Europe and Asia encompassing Urban Regeneration, New Communities, Waterfronts, Parks, Institutional Campuses and Research Parks.
Michel is a frequent speaker at conferences, serves on design juries and has taught urban design studios at the Harvard Design School and The University of Toronto. He is a member of the City of Markham’s Design Review Panel, serves on the Urban Land Institute’s Place Making Council and is a Fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. In his three-part Idea Lab series ‘This is Paris’, Michel explores recent initiatives which have brought a new shine to the ‘City of Light’.
