The American Planning Association International Division has recognized two Urban Strategies Projects: Jane Finch Mall Redevelopment (jfm+) has been commended for Urban Design excellence. This award honors exemplary efforts in urban design, specifically those related to master plan, detailed urban design, streetscape design, public space design, and other planning designs.
ʔəy̓alməxʷ/Iy̓álmexw/Jericho Lands has been commended for the Community Planning Award. This award recognizes exemplary plans focused on neighborhoods or small areas. Eligible submissions may include, but are not limited to, community plans, neighborhood plans, regional plans, and city master plans.
These awards are granted every two years, and recognize excellence in planning, urban design, environmental resilience, and community engagement across international contexts. The APA jury specifically recognized recipients’ exemplary contributions to advancing inclusive, resilient, and community-centered planning worldwide. Read more about this awards program.
