Stuart is an Urban Planner with a background in planning policy, transit oriented development and community engagement. His passion for planning lies in cultivating sustainable communities through the integration of transportation and land use planning.
At Urban Strategies, Stuart has contributed to a diverse range of projects for both public and private sector clients, including helping lead complex master planning exercises and development approvals processes. Stuart is currently managing the development approvals for Phase 2 of CIBC Square at 141 Bay Street, which has required close coordination with all levels of government and a range of City agencies, and will see the creation of a 50 storey office tower directly connected to Union Station. Stuart is also helping lead a complex master planning and development approvals process for Cadillac Fairview at East Harbour, that will transform the former industrial site into a dynamic new employment node East of downtown. Other recent experience includes helping the University of Toronto Scarborough secure a range of approvals to help achieve its long-term campus master plan, as well as a variety of other planning studies and reports.
