Tatjana is an Urban Planner managing a range of complex planning projects for both public and private sector clients, including work in regional growth planning, master planning, development approvals, and planning due diligence. She is currently acting as Project Manager for an extensive master planning exercise for the Jericho lands in Vancouver’s West Point Grey neighbourhood, a 90-acre site within the unceded traditional territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh (MST) Nations. Tatjana’s recent projects include completion of the Interim Growth Plan for the Calgary Metropolitan Region Board, master planning and minor variance applications for Yorkdale Shopping Centre, and planning approvals for mixed-use development in Pickering City Centre. Her passion for city building extends outside the office, where she mentors youth exploring the fields of urban design and planning as they initiate projects in their local GTA communities. Tatjana joined Urban Strategies with a background in environmental policy and planning, and environmental engineering, with professional experience in diverse locations such as Barcelona, Chicago, Accra, Barbados, and Montreal. She has trained in consensus-building, public dispute resolution, and facilitation with a view to foster healthy, equitable and democratic urban communities.
