Meadowvale GO Station Area Plan and Joint Development Study
2014 - Present
Mississauga, Ontario
Urban Strategies was retained in 2014 to undertake a GO Station Plan and Joint Development Study for the Meadowvale GO Station in Mississauga, Ontario, along with Cushman and Wakefield and MMM Group. Metrolinx, in partnership with the Mississauga Halton Local Health Integration Network and Trillium Health Partnership, seeks to increase ridership, address future capacity needs, and enhance community health services in the local area through a comprehensive station area planning process. As part of this process, we are developing a series of built form and land use options for the Metrolinx-owned lands, in order to assess the highest and best use of the study area, explore the potential for the adaptive re-use or leasing of the existing buildings on the site, and develop a real estate and financial implementation plan to guide real estate decisions for the site and assist Metrolinx in bringing parts of the site to market.
